Appreciate it's a very small problem.

Which one for Christmas food please? I did Tesco last year and feeling a little more indulgent this year.

Hosting for 7 Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Any recommendations welcome too!

M&S is my preference.

snoreb · 31/10/2023 14:32

Booths if you've one nearby!

Mwnci123 · 31/10/2023 14:40

M&S always.

I was going to say this. I might go and get their Christmas book at the weekend and buy a few things to just check quality as a test for the day itself.

rainbowsparkle28 · 31/10/2023 14:47

M&S definitely.

Guiltyfeethavegotnorhythm0 · 31/10/2023 15:07

M&S

Growlybear83 · 31/10/2023 15:32

Very definitely Waitrose for me. I get M&S food from Ocado, which is usually nice enough, but not nearly as good quality as Waitrose. I was so disappointed when Ocado changed their partnership to M&S from Waitrose.

I always have my main Christmas order from ocado, which includes a lot of M&as products, but I also have a Waitrose xmas order for the nicest things.

A27009D56 · 31/10/2023 15:43

Waitrose definitely for me

leopardprintismyfavourite · 31/10/2023 15:48

M&S! Least we did last year.

BUT if I still lived near Booths I would be in there every day.😂

cocksstrideintheevening · 31/10/2023 16:38

Waitrose meat, everything else m and s

Favouritefruits · 31/10/2023 16:40

I second Booths

mummymayhem18 · 31/10/2023 16:43

💯 M&S 😋😋👌

bryceQ · 31/10/2023 16:46

M&S is much better in my opinion, I live next to both so have tried a lot of their food

Firkinhavinalaugh · 31/10/2023 16:48

Treats from Waitrose - stollen/mince pies and Cointreau cream 🤤 also their bacon wrapped sausages….

all else from either Waitrose or m & s

gotomomo · 31/10/2023 16:50

I prefer Morrison's to be honest.

MissyB1 · 31/10/2023 16:52

M&S, I’ve tried both.

Ineedwinenow · 31/10/2023 16:52

Booths or M&S for me! Last time I shopped at Waitrose I was really disappointed ☹️ M&S and Booths seem to be consistent with their produce

Davros · 31/10/2023 16:56

@Firkinhavinalaugh what is this cointreau cream you speak
sausages in bacon = pigs in blankets

wellAverage · 31/10/2023 18:07

I'd never heard of Booths before so I looked up their locations.

I've also never heard of quite a few of the locations :).
They seem to build bespoke buildings in each location which is nice.
I'm assuming their prices are on a par with M&S and Waitrose?

I go for Cook’s Turkey crown. Always more than the stated ‘serves 8’ so lots of leftovers for turkey sandwiches etc. I love the stuffing and the meat is really tasty.

But if I had to choose between M&S and Waitrose, I’d do M&S.

Firkinhavinalaugh · 31/10/2023 18:20

It is food of the gods…… literally.

sausages wrapped in bacon in our house - a left over from when Peppa and George ruled my life 🤣🤣🤣

Finallybreathe · 01/11/2023 02:18

I prefer Waitrose. I’ve tried both and prefer Waitrose

willowstar · 01/11/2023 06:43

Definitely Waitrose here. I shop at both, but I prefer Waitrose if I was pushed to choose.

TerfTalking · 01/11/2023 06:46

They’re not mutually exclusive, I buy what I want from where I want. Turkey & Beef are coming from M&S, cheese from local cheese mongers, veg from Tesco, wine from Asda, nibbles from a selection of stores as and when I see them.

justalittlesnoel · 01/11/2023 06:54

@wellAverage

I'd say booths prices are more than M&S but similar to Waitrose? When I shop in M&S it always seems to cost less than a Waitrose or a Booths shop (but that could be bias based on what's going in the basket 😂).

Another vote for Booths OP - it'll smash the socks of the other two when it comes to Christmas food!
