The sign - Ace of Base

JuicyFroot · 26/10/2023 15:09

Well thanks to the school hymns thread, all I can hear now is
'Dance then wherever you may be
I am the Lord of the dance said he...'
ad infinitum 🙉😂

Sorry BlushGrin

Could be worse… could be Kumbaya?

TigerRag · 26/10/2023 15:19

Thanks...

😆 you're not one bit sorry! 😝

Kumbaya just makes me want to sit around a camp fire, strumming my guitar...
If I had one...
And I could actually play it...

😂

You're right, I'm not. A good 25% of my regular-rotation earworms are Christian songs I was forced to sing as a child, some of which I detest beyond measure. Why should not everyone else suffer as I must suffer?! Grin

You can get through Kumbaya with just two chords, at a pinch. Should be doable?

DumboHimalayan · 26/10/2023 16:38

Ah crap, posted that under my previous username because I posted on this thread using it a while back (I switched to my current name on this thread today to make it clear I was the hymn thread poster). Well, probably obvious that was me, but here's me confirming it anyway Grin

ALongHardWinter · 26/10/2023 17:23

Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode. I watched a YouTube video of one of their concerts about a week ago and it's been stuck in my head ever since.

InMySpareTime · 26/10/2023 17:25

Friend Like Me and Prince Ali, both from Aladdin, have been alternating in my head all day.

Sourisblanche · 26/10/2023 17:26

Theme tune from Ratatouille 🐀👩‍🍳

It’s particularly bad when cooking in my kitchen like right now!

ShortColdandGrey · 26/10/2023 17:37

The Christmas lights song from the BBC play Christmas in storyland. My daughter has been watching it again, and it always gets stuck in my head

Loobyloo68 · 26/10/2023 18:09

Steve sanchez, until I found you, love the 60s vibe

CornedBeef451 · 26/10/2023 18:40

DD has just introduced me to Olivia Rodrigo and so I have Get Him Back running through my head almost constantly.

HappiDaze · 26/10/2023 18:50

Mikayler Geier - Here we go again

She's on TikTok and it's been my ear worm for a few days now

Tarkan · 26/10/2023 21:41

I was watching the news earlier and when they were discussing a story they said "who would they go to, where would he go?"

And that's the story of why I now have Cotton Eye Joe stuck in my head.

BogRollBOGOF · 26/10/2023 22:49

She said, there's something in the wood shed, and I can hear it breathing, it's such an eerie feeling darling
(The Divine Comedy)

It's because I put wood on the fire.

The weird ones are when you haven't heard something in ages but just wake up with it in your head.

My worst one was from CBeebies (Me Too?) Something to do with Riverseafingle. Tortured me for weeks, probably not helped by being chronically sleep deprived with a 1yo at the time.

TUNE.
Don’t get on a bus! I’ve had a National Express ear worm for years now.

TigerRag · 27/10/2023 18:10

Praise you

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 27/10/2023 18:53

School Christmas carol…..Mary had a baby….YES looooord 😂🤣

Tessisme · 29/10/2023 07:40

Mine has just switched from 3 weeks of 'Ballad of a Thin Man' to 'Oh Laurie'. Thanks for that DP🤬 I don't know very many of the lyrics so just the one effing high pitched chorus echoing on repeat in my poor skull.

InMySpareTime · 29/10/2023 07:46

99 red balloons

Cnon · 29/10/2023 10:57

Don't Lose My Number by Phil Collins does that.

Missingthegore · 29/10/2023 11:13

Galway to Graceland
By the High Kings
It's the bit where the singer is a capella and almost harmonising with himself.

slavetothekittens · 29/10/2023 11:34

Zombie by the Cranberries

MadamVastra · 29/10/2023 11:40
