Upper abdominal right hand side pain 28 weeks 5 days

Hi,

So I've got this constant sharp pain in the upper right hand side of abdomen. Went in for a growth scan today and spoke to the sonographer who didn't seem too concerned and said it's probably just growing pains. But it doesn't feel like the kind of growing pain I've experienced everywhere else. It feels more sharp and localised. Also tender to the touch. It's in the area highlighted in blue.

Anyone experienced this?

Have you had your blood pressure checked? Pain on the right side under the rib cage can be a symptom of pre-eclampsia. Also vomiting, swelling, vision problems https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pre-eclampsia/. Personally I’d call your maternity unit for advice as a sonographer isn’t really trained in maternity medical issues.

I had this pain with pre eclampsia,get yourself checked out asap.
