Does Digestive Enzymes interfere with birth control pills and periods?

Hi,

Ive just started taking Virdian Digestive Aid now for a week and they’ve stopped my gas and bloating I get from eating my meals.

One thing I’ve noticed is my period seems to be longer than normal however that might be because I was in America the week before I came on and cos if the time difference I was taking the cerelle pill 5 hours late. I’ve been on the mini pill for 9 years now and only really have bleeding for 6 days the most, once or twice it lasted 10 days. I’ve now been bleeding for 7 days.
I don’t know if Digestive Enzymes effect the mini pill or being later than normal effected my bleeding?

Also does anyone know if Digestive Aid herbal supplements make the mini pill less effective and is anyone taking digestive enzymes whilst on birth control do they effect it in any way?

If that’s the case maybe I should look for something else but I wanted to avoid the doctors as they only give pills, not even sure if my doctor agrees with digestive enzymes. I could ask the pharmacist but thought I’d try my luck and ask if anyone in this forum can advise.

It would be nice to hear from anyone taking digestive enzymes and if they’ve had any problems with their periods and birth control.

Thank you 😊
