Possible to replace oven with air fryer?

Our electric oven has stopped working - it came with the house when we bought it and so is about 17 years old. I phoned an appliance repair person and he said it was impossible to get parts for that type of oven now and it would have to be replaced. The gas top is separate to the electric oven and is working fine.

We don't have an air fryer as we are very limited with worktop space in the kitchen. I wonder is it possible to pull out the electric oven to get rid of it and somehow get an air fryer into that particular space?? Without it looking ridiculous as it is a fitted kitchen?!

Thanks for responding.

Wouldn't it just really ugly and odd? I can't even imagine what you're going to stand it on once you've ripped the oven out?

Could you replace it with working secondhand oven? It might cost less than an air fryer.

I have the Ninja 15-1 I've hardly used my oven since I love it.

I agree regarding be careful where you use the air fryer. I used mine stupidly in front of the switches to turn on the boiler etc and it melted one of them. Lots of steam come out the back. I would take the oven out and use it as storage for it as others say and cook on top when needed.

I have pretty much replaced my oven with an air fryer (family of 4 adults/teen) but I don't actually think I could do without it completely. There are still things that the oven is needed for due to size etc.

As a temporary measure I think you could do it easily but not permanently.

The only thing I've used my oven for since getting an air fryer is Yorkshire puddings and pizzas!

Same 😂
