King or superking?

Buying a new bed and wondering if its worth paying the extra for a super king over a king size.

For anyone who has a king, do you ever wish your bed was bigger?
Anyone with a superking, would you care/ notice if you lost the extra inches?

King. Doesn't matter how big our bed is, DP always ends up cuddled into me.

It’s my biggest regret that we only have a king 😭
We bought the mattress when we were in a different bedroom in the house, my back was in a bad way (2 slipped discs) and we realised our mattress was incredibly old and replaced it with a very expensive one. A year later we renovated and moved into the other bedroom in our house but didn’t want to buy a super king base as we’d not long enough had the new mattress to consider getting rid of it. Just all a case of terrible timing!
It’s usually crap going away though as we rarely end up on holiday in a king, often just a double and I hate it. Imagine if we were used to super king and ended up in a double on holiday 😱

To swim against the tide; king size bed, superking bedding.

We have room for a super king, but the king was a good compromise between enough space and feeling like we may as well be in seperate beds. We're not small people and both like our space, but no kids or dogs etc which may make a difference.

Superking, I didn't think there'd be much difference from our king but it really is much more spacious

I wouldn’t have a superking unless I also had someone else to change the sheets on it. It’s enough of a mission with a king.

We're relatively friendly with our neighbours but can't say I've ever slept in their bed!

😂😂 didn't mean it in that way! DS likes to run into the room when we're round to play and just noticed how big it was (no pun intended!)

We have 2 Superkings. Definitely worth it if you have the space. We have zip and link ones.

Once you’ve gone bigger you won’t want to go back 😂

We had gone for a king, but we were blinded by the "there is an offer - a SK is the price of a K" sale line, and by the time we had laid on it, I was converted.

Obviously the folly in my actions is that we could have got the king for the price of a double.

One bedding set was from the charity shop, but I agree that the bedding is not cheap and much harder to find. (Next and Dunelm are quite good)

Superking here. Love having that extra space.

Can't comment on bed sizing as I share my bed with no-one, and smaller the better as far as I'm concerned as I like to feel tucked in.

Super king... but some days, even that is too close to your spouse.

I have an eu king which is between a king and a super king. The spare bed is a super king and there isn’t much difference. The only reason changing sheets on the super king is an issue is because it’s a tempur mattress which weighs more than an elephant!!
