Your car

Is it in pristine showroom condition or a mobile skip?

First day back to school for DC, so I had a quick clear out and vacuum.
Resulted in a small bag of child related detritus that just seems to collect, so not too bad all things considering.

What’s yours like?

It's a banger (Google bangernomics) but is reliable and is our second car. It isn't particularly dirty or sparkling clean and I think of it as I would the fridge. My car is useful and serves a purpose, I clean the fridge more often but my car is a nicer colour 😁

hdbs17 · 04/09/2023 12:26

Clean it religiously.

I can't stand cars with rubbish in them, or being able to see dust on the dashboard - it drives me insane.

F1ymetothetoon · 04/09/2023 12:28

My car is over 20 years old but in decent nick and no rubbish in it. DH's much younger car on the other hand............

hattie43 · 04/09/2023 12:29

Showroom Prestine because it's just been valeted

sezzer87 · 04/09/2023 12:31

Absolute bin my car is. Crumbs, sand, dog hair, buckets and spades, old kites and school letters. But hey ho we're a fun family that's always out and about so it's a reflection of that in my opinion. Our other car which my
Husband uses for work is immaculate though.

mrsjg · 04/09/2023 12:34

Mines only 6 months old from new so I have got into a habit of a hoover and dust every weekend. Plus I don't have small kids anymore so no crumbs or sticky finger prints to deal with.

As476 · 04/09/2023 12:34

I’m a mechanic so the drivers seat is constantly oily. Add to that steel toe cap boots, jumpers and work gear slung in the back, then the dog related stuff as I take her to work with me, and then the car seats and kid related crap. I emptied it at the weekend and it took 4 massive aldi bags and a bin bag to clear it all. Feels odd now it’s empty 😂😂😂

skinnytobe · 04/09/2023 12:34

Cleanish. Needs a hoover though!

Rudolphthefrog · 04/09/2023 12:41

No rubbish or clutter, but there’s some sand/mud/dead leaves on the floor mats and the outside is filthy. It’s a car, it goes to beaches and parks and stuff in the summer, it’s what it’s for.

Iliketulips · 04/09/2023 12:43

Right now, it should be immaculate. It failed MOT so has been in for repairs this morning and apparently they've given it a thorough clean inside and out. We tend to remove rubbish on leaving the car, so generally it usually just has essential car items.

CPLawyer · 04/09/2023 13:08

Mine is a mess. I don't have enough hands and the the children aren't old enough to clean up after themselves 😭

HandsomeJack · 04/09/2023 13:25

My car Is the definition of Carbarge.

NorthernLiner · 04/09/2023 16:22

It’s been valeted at the supermarket hand wash so it’s sparkling now!
The sunshine made the dusty exterior seem 10 times worse 😁

I like a clean and tidy car too.

@HandsomeJack Carbage made me laugh 😂

I've just got a new car which I absolutely love so it's pristine. Kids tried to eat a dairylea dunker in it earlier, errrrr no! My old car was an absolute disgrace, though!

Ohhelpicantthinkofaname · 04/09/2023 16:58

Cleanish on the outside as DH cleans it once a month or so. The inside however leaves a lot to be desired. Life’s too short to keep a car clean 😂.

Franticbutterfly · 04/09/2023 17:16

Looks brand new (66 plate) except for where I kerbed the alloys (due to be fixed shortly).

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 04/09/2023 17:18

Spotless. It's 2 months old but I always keep a spotless car. Clean, polished , no crap lying about. We don't eat in it either as I'm that fussy. I'm very car proud

ShutTheDoorBabe · 04/09/2023 17:21

Dh wants it pristine and like new; I try to keep it that way but it's full of sand and stones and bits and pieces from our feet after days out.

Oblomov23 · 04/09/2023 17:27

Clean. I take all rubbish out with me immediately when I get out. Occasional hoover, it looks ok.
