Is an anglepoise lamp worth paying the extra for

Hi

i am looking for a new lamp for a side table/ desk. I love the look of anglepoises and have had “copies” in the past . Are they worth buying the real thing?

Any recommendations for similar but cheaper .

That’s odd as the floor lamps are 3 or 4k.
on there saying around £360 reduced to £260 ?? Weird .

Ah just seen there are cheaper floor lamps for around that price, must be smaller.

Ah ok, when did they stop making them do you know ? They seem to have a different base . I like them . But presume not made anymore ? Thanks.

Anglepoise became an actual company in name in the 70s founded by the Terry family and they are still going.
