Where do you put all your bedding?

Do you have each individuals bedding in their own room or all in one place? Do you have it in a drawer?! Where?!

I'm organising and and am drowning in sheets.

I have an ottoman bed and it's all stored in blue ikea bags in there. One bag per bed.

Individual piles on a shelf in the heating cupboard

Bemyclementine · 19/08/2023 14:56

Airing cupboard.

Airing cupboard

All flat linens are at the back of the airing cupboard, so clean & dry ready for use. Any spare pillows or duvets are vac packed & stored under our bed.

Skethylita · 19/08/2023 15:11

3 sets per bed (though one set is an exclusively Christmas one each).

In a storage box (mine, sheets and spare pillow cases) and in a disused hamper, both under my bed.

Bananaspliff · 19/08/2023 15:13

In the airing cupboard, shelf for each family members bedding sets.

In washing baskets under the bed

When living at my mum’s we all had divan beds with drawers, so our spare sets went in one of the drawers.

Now I have my own place I have an airing cupboard and like previous posters I keep spare bedding as a set all contained within a pillowcase (pillow cases, flat sheet and the fitted sheet), then pile them on top of each other.

We only have a winter duvet our bed, so that gets popped in a plastic tub with a lid, and stashed at the back of the wiring cupboard until it’s cold enough to use, then the summer one takes it’s place. Spare bed bedding and our spare duvet covers are also stashed in a tub. Keeps it out the way and as dust free as possible.

I have a walk in hot press. I don’t know why I’d do without it.

In the airing cupboard with towels (and random suitcases and bags at the bottom.)

If I didn't have an airing cupboard I think I'd dedicate a drawer in a chest of drawers to bedding and keep the towels in some sort of bathroom storage.

Sgtmajormummy · 19/08/2023 17:19

In this house (3 single beds) I have 5 interchangeable sets. Change and wash two, when they’re dry change and wash the other. That means I only have max 2 sets in the linen cupboard.
I have a tall glass cabinet for towels and toiletries in the bathroom with “stunt” towels folded to look their best on the visible side.

AlltheFs · 19/08/2023 17:23

2 sets per bed, kept in underbed storage boxes in the relevant room. We have very little storage space (old cottage).

Sgtmajormummy · 19/08/2023 17:23

I’d love to have an airing cupboard. SIL lets me organize hers when I visit…

Xiaoxiong · 19/08/2023 17:38

Big chest of drawers in the hall - all towels and sheets in there. We have an airing cupboard but it's downstairs so inconvenient when making the beds.

golddustwomen · 19/08/2023 17:41

I bought an ottoman storage thing from Dunelm which sits at the end of my bed. Also have the towels in there. 2 sets of bedding each for us and the kids.

BertieBotts · 19/08/2023 17:42

2 sets per bed with extra pillowcases that coordinate, so I can change the pillowcase regularly without having to change the whole set. In theory I chang pillowcases weekly and bedding fortnightly but this doesn't actually happen Blush

Kept in the room with the bed.

We have 4 different sized beds - if there were more duplicate sizes then I would have a smaller number of sheets, keep them centrally and rotate which bedding set gets changed.

Tiddlywinks63 · 19/08/2023 17:48

Two king size beds, 4 or 5 sets for each (ridiculous I know 🙄), kept in the airing cupboard.

Littlecovid · 19/08/2023 17:50

We have 3 sets per bed. DH and I are in the drawers under our bed and the DCs are in the large drawer in their hemnes chest of drawers.

Hoooodoyouthink · 19/08/2023 17:58

In a drawer at the bottom of my wardrobe.

ViciousHeavenlyAngels · 19/08/2023 18:19

In between my husbands gorgeous downy buttock, safe and warm in the compactness. That, or in a fabric zip up storage bag from amazon that lives under the bed.

gabsdot45 · 19/08/2023 18:55

I have 1 set per bed plus a few extra sheets and blankets for the kid's friends who sleep on the couch. They're all in the airing cupboard
