Food at Beamish

Can anyone answer me as to what the food is like?
Planning a visit but not sure whether It's worth taking our own to avoid queues and if It's generally not very good?

I really loved Beamish but I would absolutely definitely take your own food - all the food queues were absolutely massive.

It was egg which isn't that weird and ham and pease pudding. I just found it weird you could only get ham and cheese if it was for a child.
