Has anyone been to Agadir in February?

I have a big birthday coming up and we are looking for somewhere warm in Feb half term... has anyone been to Agadir in winter? Did you like it, was it warm enough to swim in a pool?

We have been to Morocco before and loved it. We would love somewhere to travel with a bigger 'culture shock' than say the Canary Islands - but Dubai, for example, was looking just too expensive in Feb half term 🥲.

Thanks!

I wouldn't expect to swim but it should be clear sunny days. In January we needed light down jackets and probably should have had hats as the evenings were baltic. We were guests of friends who live near Agadir and we sat around a fire at night. The stars were amazing.

20 years ago I had my honeymoon in Morocco in late February. It was warm enough for T-shirts in the daytime, although not warm enough to swim.
The evenings were very cold, not least because the hotels had no heating or insulation, tiled floors etc. I remember huddling around the open fire in the dining room at one place, then being too cold to sleep.
We had a great time, travelled around, saw and did a lot, there were few other tourists, but it wouldn't have worked as a beach holiday.

Yes, about 8 years ago I did a 2 centre holiday to Marrakesh and Agadir in February. I really enjoyed the holiday. I think we were lucky with the weather. I swam in the pool (not the sea). I don’t think it was super hot but I did sit on a sun bed, not with the idea of tanning. We did a couple of great trips out.
The downside was that there are a lot of French tourists. I have nothing against the French but in France the February half term is staggered across the country for 3 weeks. This is to promote the skiing industry. This does mean that in February it will always be busy. The other thing is that Moroccan children seem to go to bed late and are always running round in the evening. If this is what you want that is great. Otherwise consider an adults only hotel!

I went in the middle of January and it was bikini weather in the day. We stayed at Allegeo Agadir and whilst the pool was cool we went in it every day. It was so good in fact we rebooked for next January

I forgot to say, it was in the 20s each day in January and the pool etc is sheltered so great for lounging by the pool!

Thank you so much for the replies! Sounds like we could be lucky... but either way cool in the evenings and not 'sun bed' weather.

The hotels we are looking at also have indoor pools so we can always make the most of that.

We really enjoyed Marrakesh and the Atlas Mountains - perhaps we just take a punt and fingers crossed for some sunshine!

I must get my eyes checked- when seeing this on my phone yesterday I first thought it said Agadoo. Cue thoughts of Black Lace and awful summer holiday songs!

OP have a lovely time.
