Belgian chocolate coated peanuts
Chicken tikka masala
Potato gratin

All the ready meals are way better than any other supermarket meals

TomatoSandwiches · 17/07/2023 08:55

I had some lovely sliced roast beef with garlic and coriander from M&S in a homemade bread roll the other day, will definitely be getting some more.

The hot smoked salmon is good with their big bag of ceaser salad.

The mini oblong jaffa cakes are especially moreish.

Their stone baked garlic breads are the absolute best garlic bread I have ever tasted, I could just eat a whole pack of them and nothing else.

barbarahunter · 17/07/2023 09:03

Sourdough baton - yum!

iholdgrudges · 17/07/2023 09:22

Pistachio & Almond cookies and Red Diamond strawberries

neleh87 · 17/07/2023 09:32

My absolute favourite M&S treat is the Eton Mess dessert pot. Sort of like a trifle, but with meringue on top. So decadent!
Hope you get some lovely treats 😄

Thank you all so much!!! Can't beat an M&S trolly dash lol 😂

Pistachio & Almond cookies and Red Diamond strawberries

I must have had a dud punnet of Diamond strawberries, they were weirdly rock hard and sour.

AtleastitsnotMonday · 17/07/2023 09:58

They do a beetroot and apple coleslaw with a yoghurt dressing. It's amazing!

CriticalAlert · 17/07/2023 10:09

The gourmet Chicken Kiev. Fresh raspberries - best I've ever tasted. All their quiches. In fact the bloody lot!!!!

Kirova · 17/07/2023 10:21

I love the deli things in little pots - marinated mozzarella, little pastries, antipasti... Also like the little tarts they do, like strawberry and cream and blackcurrant sundae!

Defiantlynot41 · 17/07/2023 10:24

The "best ever " (or whatever they are called) chicken kyivs, the normal ones are nice but these are excellent

Blossomtoes · 17/07/2023 10:28

Frozen triple cooked chips
Potato Dauphinois
Cauli cheese
Cream Tea ice cream
The enormous sausage rolls
Apple Crumble yogurt

We're all addicted to the cheese twists. I bought the plant based version for a friend with a dairy intolerance and she's addicted to those now too.

The cherry liqueurs are lovely for a treat but I only buy them occasionally.

We also love their farmhouse bread, it's the £1.50 one but makes lovely toast compared to other pre-sliced bread.

All butter flapjack bites (in a little tub) - they're like crack to me, especially when I'm tipsy. Blush

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 17/07/2023 10:33

The Supergreen and Supernutty salad tubs. Worth making a special trip for.
Cheese scones.
Salted Pitta Chips. I’m addicted.
Lovely rye bread.

It’s tragic that I live so far away from a branch

TooBigForMyBoots · 17/07/2023 10:37

Beetroot and feta salad
The 2pk brownies in the bread/cake aisle
Butter (it's the cheapest here)

Loveys · 17/07/2023 10:59

Cornish cruncher cheese

Cornish cruncher cheese

Oh yes, I forgot about that. It’s to die for.

BloodandGlitter · 17/07/2023 11:25

The SFC chicken burgers. Better than KFC by miles.

LibertyLily · 17/07/2023 12:16

Another vote for the gourmet (or gastropub?) chicken kievs and that garlic/coriander sliced roast beef!

Also, the custard tarts, potato croquettes, coronation chicken (the one in the flat, oval container), Cornish cruncher cheese, the sausage rolls and honey/mustard (iirc) cocktail sausages.

A particular favourite of ours is their black daal...yum!

Cornish cruncher cheese

^^ this, love it!! On their crackers with pepper in them. Honey roast ham. Piccolini tomatoes (British ones all year round). Their chili camembert, with baguettes. Orange trifle, strawberry trifle.

Sometimes they have amazing strawberries/raspberries, but sometimes they're shit. If they're shit though, I freeze them and pop them in my gin and tonic!

ChippyTea16 · 17/07/2023 13:56

I only get snack/lunch-type stuff from M&S but mine would be:

-blond chocolate
-cookie dough bites
-blackcurrant sundae tarts (the pack of 4)
-pineapple tarts (pack of 4)
-pea and potato salad pot
-harissa cous cous
-chicken and sweetcorn sandwiches
-cheese tasters (their version of wotsits)
-fudge bars
-toffee sundae pots
-jalapeno corn snacks
-tub of caramel crispy bites
