I'm not into all the woo stuff and I'm sure there's a logical explanation but me and my mum we talk about or do stuff and I know what she's gonna say.

Like we never have Chip sandwiches but she said do you know what I want at the moment? And I said chip sandwich and that's it

For my brothers birthday I came down stairs and said I had an idea for his birthday and she said she had. And we both said what it was and it was the same thing and it wasn't really obvious due to a number of reasons which would make it normally not a great suggestion.

It'll be about loads of stuff where she'll start saying something and I know what she's gonna say or I'll say something and she says she just had the same thought.

As I say I'm sure there's like some subconscious clues or subliminal messaging but wondering if it happens to anyone else?

I'd say it's coincidence and you're very similar in outlook/personality.

I get very accurate déjà vu every now and again. One example is when I was 14, I told my friend about a dream I'd had about us walking a specific road, talking about specific names of people in a certain situation. Roughly a year later, it happened and we both stopped and gave eachother a knowing look. There's no way I could have chanced that just happening as we'd only met those people a few days earlier and it wasn't an area we'd usually be in. I could say more but it isn't worth it, even for the novelty, for someone to be boring and try to psychoanalyse it 🤣 Some times weird things happen and it's cool when it does!

I'm not the slightest bit into anything woo, but I have had thoughts about things which have then happened. I don't think it's anything other than your brain making connections about likely outcomes and possibly emotional intelligence coming into play.

OP this food example is normal between me, my mum and my sister. I also have it with my son. Drives me nuts that my dad and partner don't have the same intuition- and them nuts that I expect them to!

Me and my DH finish say the same thing at the same time regularly. It’s always when we’ve spent a lot of time together. I’ve had it in the past with bosses I’ve worked closely with too. You just get in sync with people.

I’m a widow, dh and I used to do this. He’d think something random like we need to go to the garden centre and I’d say it. It was spooky at the time.

When he was end of life at home I’d wake up a moment before he texted me in the night for help.

Dh and I do this too. One of us thinking something and the other saying it. The sense of belonging was so strong when I met him. He’s always felt like my person.

@FormerlyPathologicallyHappy I’m sorry for your loss. It sounds like you two had something very special,
