Hamilton Tickets - WTF!!

FusionChefGeoff · 04/07/2023 17:49

Love Hamilton, never seen it, random mailer talking about tickets so I thought 'oh yes, that would be a lovely treat for my birthday this year'

Went on to check prices and for DH and I in Oct the OK seats half way back in the Circle were

THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY BASTARDING QUID

Including a robbing bastard booking fee of £60!!??!!

If we wanted top stalls it would be £600!!!!

What the actual fuck is that about and does anyone have any tips on how to get them without needing to sell DS or my kidney!??

What theatre are you looking at?
I've seen it four times and not paid more than £100 (and that was for excellent seats), usually less.

AuntieMarys · 04/07/2023 17:51

Watch it on Disney whilst quaffing champagne 😀

Redlorryyellowlorryblue · 04/07/2023 17:52

Just watch it on Disney. Simples.

Trollfeet · 04/07/2023 17:52

Use the TodayTix app to enter the weekly lottery. I got front row seats for £10 each, amazing view!

FusionChefGeoff · 04/07/2023 17:53

I've watched it on Disney but would love the atmosphere / energy of a live show.

This was a click through on See Tickets for London, Victoria Palace theatre. Wonder if they're better direct?

We paid £87.50 for Manchester in December.

Okay, might find we're sitting behind a pillar but hey ho, I've ordered prosecco as well so I'll just drink and listen!

Calloffruity · 04/07/2023 17:54

Just see it in London if you can, the tickets are far cheaper than the tour, even factoring in the cost of a hotel.

We had restricted view tickets for £39 and they were great.

LittleBearPad · 04/07/2023 17:54

When on earth do you want to go?

Most expensive tickets are £250. Admittedly absurd but there’s lots for much less

youhavenoidea123 · 04/07/2023 17:55

You are looking through a third part ticket agent. Book directly with the theatre.

They don't cost anywhere near that

LittleBearPad · 04/07/2023 17:56

Don’t go through an agent

Doinst · 04/07/2023 17:56

You're on some reseller site. Just buy direct, it's much cheaper.

FusionChefGeoff · 04/07/2023 17:56

@Trollfeet woo hoo ace tip thanks downloading now

Saturday night at the end of September, 3rd from the stage, £100 each. No idea where you are looking! Most expensive ticket is premium at £250

LittleBearPad · 04/07/2023 17:59

And there’s no booking fee on the official site as far as I can see

Iwouldlikesomecake · 04/07/2023 18:00

Why don’t you get the £79.50 or £82.50 tickets or look for a deal on TodayTix? If you can’t chance the ticket lottery?

LIZS · 04/07/2023 18:10

We paid £37.50 each, admittedly up the top.

badluckorbadvibes · 04/07/2023 18:17

I sit mid stalls, end of aisle and have been several times. Never paid more than £100.

Beesmakehoney · 04/07/2023 18:19

Get a box it works out around £70 per seat. Some of the view is restricted but its a massive saving.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 04/07/2023 18:23

We’re going in August to a matinee and have boxes for £200 for 4 of us.

HappiDaze · 04/07/2023 18:39

I picked a random Saturday in October directly with Hamilton at the Victoria Theatre

HappiDaze · 04/07/2023 18:42

It's cheaper mid week and obviously more of a seat selection

HappiDaze · 04/07/2023 18:43

And of course they're better direct

Why would you even contemplate going through a 3rd party Confused

Get off the reseller site with the insane markup and look at the links I’ve pasted.

You can get a limited view seat for £28 at the theatre closest to me!

I'm looking at the Lottery part, is it only ever up to two tickets? I need three!
