I couldn't believe it was actually Cate Blanchette dancing on stage with Sparks!!😂

Appalonia · 25/06/2023 18:46

The Editors frontman sounds like Arctic Monkeys!

Womencanlift · 25/06/2023 18:48

Watching Becky Hill doing a fab set. I always think she comes across really lovely and you can see she feels really humbled to be there

Usually she is my gym playlist go to but enjoying just listening to her. One of the few stars to come from The Voice

the80sweregreat · 25/06/2023 18:49

Becky hill has lovely hair and similar boots to Debbie Harry too

TragicMuse · 25/06/2023 18:50

I mean, Debbie Harry is 78 next week, 3 years younger then my mum!

My mum is still pretty spry and busy. But I cannot imagine her having the energy and stamina to do an hour long live set, even though she's awesome.

OrlandointheWilderness · 25/06/2023 18:57

Becky hill has done a blinding slot, really loved it.
The Hu were amazing too!

justco · 25/06/2023 19:04

@Appalonia where are you watching the editors?

Appalonia · 25/06/2023 19:07

I missed Rick Ashley with Blossoms doing Smiths covers and I now I can't find it! PLEASE does anyone know where it is? X

Vermin · 25/06/2023 19:07

Omg I’ve just watched Nova Twins on catch up and am having to sit back with goldfrapp to calm down the adrenaline! That was some set - crikey, they are GREAT! (Alison goldfrapp looks sensational too, and if Debbie Harry’s surgeon can get me looking like that at 77, sign me up)

@Appalonia where are you watching the editors?

They’re on IPlayer Woodsies stage live.

@Appalonia where are you watching the editors?

It was on the Woodsies Stage

BarelyLiterate · 25/06/2023 19:11

I’m watching Cat Yusuf Stevens, and it’s rather lovely. Perfect choice for the Sunday teatime slot. I thought he must be getting in a bit because I’m in my 50s & his heyday was well before my time. He is in remarkably good voice for a man of 76.

i watched it on iPlayer earlier today - not sure if it's still there.

AlecTrevelyan006 · 25/06/2023 19:12

just found out that the wonderful Sophie Ellis Bextor opened the Pyramid Stage today but it wasn't shown on telly and is not on iPlayer either

I found it on iPlayer under the 'guitars' heading if that helps

justco · 25/06/2023 19:13

@Appalonia thanks. I'll try and watch later. I'm watching it on tv Cat Stevens

Gooseysgirl · 25/06/2023 19:13

Becky Hill was great! Just starting Lil Nas and there are dancers poncing about waving rather large plaits - v promising!

watcherintherye · 25/06/2023 19:13

I’d forgotten how much I liked the Editors. Fabulous set so far.

Jellykat · 25/06/2023 19:14

Aww really enjoyed Alison Goldfrapp, soooo pleased she did 'Strict machine', had a sofa boogie to that one!

the80sweregreat · 25/06/2023 19:14

Cat Stevens is fab
Such a lovely melodic voice
His still got it

LadyVF · 25/06/2023 19:15

Yeah, Becky Hill was excellent. Her voice is stunning.
I’m now catching up on Rick from yesterday AM!

I thought Sir Paul last year was one of the best things I’ve ever seen. The first few songs I thought he’d lost it but the sheer musicality blew me away.
Do not go gentle indeed. It’s a privilege for us to be seeing these people.

Spot on. Sir Paul is the greatest composer & songwriter these islands have ever produced. It is indeed a privilege to watch him perform, and we shouldn’t forget that.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 25/06/2023 19:17

I'm enjoying Cat Stevens way more than I would've thought

the80sweregreat · 25/06/2023 19:21

Cat and Rick have been great this year
I just hope Elton doesn't disappoint

JobzaGoodun · 25/06/2023 19:23
