DH is a drummer and says the Perspex is to stop the sound of the drums being too overwhelming. It lessens the sound of the drums being picked up by the mics at the front of the stage. Obviously not all bands need/ want it though.

The last fallow year was 2018 so this year should have been a fallow year but obviously covid disrupted everything! Probably means next fallow year will be 2025 (fallow year is every 5 years although obviously could be changed if the Eavises wanted to).

Oh God yes, DR was absolutely dreadful. DH is miles better than her (plus like I say, the rest of the band are great).

Yeah, I stuck with her and she defo had improved. Maybe she just need to warm up / get into her groove. I’m enjoying it too!
