Invitation code - Tattle

Is there any Tattlers amongst us who are able to generate me an invitation code? I have forgotten the password to my old account which is linked to an email I no longer have access to and it seems there is now restrictions on rejoining.

@SecretRattler can you remember which of the Death Pool threads you posted on? There are a couple of current ones for 2023 and then one just started for 2024. You can tell Sir Lancelot that it's "NetflixBritney" if he remembers me!

Think you have to be VIP tattle to give out codes.

I joined a few years back as I was intrigued by a thread. You'll find people on there are supportive to each other but slebs get it in the neck!

Not entirely sure why they started the code thing, I'd have thought you want to maximise users.

Sorry, I might be wrong then. Just with some non VIPs being unable to generate codes. It might be something like newer members then, but I don’t know.

All, Just a reminder to not give out codes to people on Mumsnet - especially not to randoms posting messages to get a code. That site is absolutely full to the brim with trolls and those trying to cause trouble. Codes are only to be given to people you know and trust. Mumsnet shouldn't be a backdoor to get banned trolls on tattle, best to ignore it. Thanks

What's tattle like as a poster? Is it friendly/fun? I'm after a friendly/fun site.

I struggle here sometimes when you're being sound with someone and they shoot you down for just being chatty/trying to be helpful.
I always try and be friendly and supportive but sometimes you do that get shit loads of abuse and most days I ignore it, but others you just wonder why you fucking bother.

Personally I find Tattle a lot more supportive than MN. There's quite a nice community feeling.

It's largely meant to be a light hearted pisstake of the fakeness of celebs and influencers. Which is part of the reason it gets bad press as I don't think they like their deception exposed and called out. As with MN, some posters take it too far but I honestly think it's less vitriolic than some posts on here.

We don't want to deal with the troublemakers, though. At the moment, there aren't enough of them to pose a problem and we'd like to keep it that way. We're also kind of wary of MNers turning everything into a competition of who's the most middle class and morally superior and sniping at an OP for no reason.
