Centre Parcs - what do I need to bring?

Going to Centre Parcs for the first time ever, with a toddler. What do I need to bring? Is their shop ok or is it over priced?

Eg dishwasher tablets? Hand soap? Loo roll? Or do they provide this stuff?

Anything else?

Thank you

The shop is akin to a Coop with similar prices. They do some nice pizzas and family size lasagnas and pasta dishes. Also fresh rolls etc. Perfectly fine. I wouldn't do a whole shop but you won't go bankrupt. They sell dw tablets and soap and stuff so don't panic about not bringing enough stuff. It's all there just as in any other shop.

Shop is well stocked. A bit more expensive than normal but not awful.

We pack enough food etc for the first night and breakfast the next day then just did a shop for bread, cheese etc. I take a half used bottle of washing up liquid and some disposable wipes from home. Instant coffee as I'm not keen on the pods.

We ate out a few times, it was pretty overpriced for what you got but I didn't care as I just didn't want to cook!

Don't bother booking loads of activities unless you have teenagers. My kids are younger and we're happy with the playparks, swimming and just wandering around exploring.

Shampoo and conditioner. I was only going for a weelend and assumed there would be some in the bathroom but there wasn't.

Shop was well stocked.Overall CP was a better holiday than I thought it would be, enjoy!

When we went it rained heavily every single day. Luckily our cabin was within walking distance of the main part because the hop on bus/train thing was constantly full so people had to wait ages to get on one further away

We had a great time though as we spent all our time in the indoor pool which was fab and time wasn't limited.

Does anyone know if the shops on site have a bakery?

WellTidy · 29/05/2023 16:29

Matches, if you’re planning on lighting the wood burning fire or having a BBQ

The one in Woburn does.

Great thanks!! That’s the one we’re going to 😁

Shop is co op stuff, so think for co op prices rather than supermarket - you'd pop in for a few bits, but not do your big shop there!

Bakery bit is lush - really nice treats (longleat anyway)

Fire stick was a new addition to our packing list this yr - can be a faff to hook up but call guest services if it doesn't work and they'll help - good for a movie night. (They have dvd players as well if you want to take those)

Lots of money! Everything is very expensive.

GG1986 · 29/05/2023 22:34

We went recently, definitely take washing up liquid and some liquid antibac hand soap. Our lodge didn't have any small shampoo or body wash. Take a few extra loo rolls and kitchen roll. Food in restaurants was pretty crap and expensive, food in supermarket was OK, but certain things massively overpriced. Maybe do a click and collect at a local supermarket? Take towels for the pool and a blackout blind for toddlers room.
Swim nappies!!

varsitychic · 30/05/2023 12:02

Do all the lodges have coffee machines with tassimo? We are staying at Woburn.

Deep pockets and an ability to schedule everything.

I’ve been once - never again.
