Sunbathing topless in your garden… would you?

Just wondering really?… Not in a pervy way!

We live in a detached bungalow, so although we have immediate neighbours, they don’t overlook us as the fence is too high. Unless one side stood on their top step and I was at the other end of the garden… Then they might see me! But I’m actually not bothered if they do. It’s my garden.

My garden, my rules. So yes. Back in the day, I used to sunbathe topless on beaches with thousands of people walking past.....so not an issue for me. Now, we are not overlooked, we can lock the back gate, and the DC's don't care a jot.

I have nothing against nakedness but sunbathing causes cancer so no way

Nomorebeer22 · 29/05/2023 13:17

Yep, I do. Neighbours could see if they hung out their bedroom window but I dont really care 😂 it's only boobs! If the dont like it they can stop looking into my garden.

I started to the other day, I only have one house next to me who can see me and they were out. House at the back of me would be able to see me if they happened to be locking out of their upstairs window but they wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Just as I got comfy next door came back so I felt obliged to put a top on.

Random overhead passers by wouldn't entire my head, it's highly unlikely plus they are highly unlikely to know me. I'm sure they've seen better boobs on the Internet too.

Sunbathing can cause cancer.
Not all people who sunbathe get cancer. People who don’t sunbathe also get cancer.

How can you be more than naked? Does that involve stripping your skin off? Grin

It can cause cancer if if you don't take the relevant precautions. Equally you can do everything right and still end up with cancer.

Just to put people's minds at rest, yes, overdoing the sun CAN cause skin cancer at any age. We can mitigate this by using sunscreen. We need to be in the sun to produce vitamin D, which PROTECTS us from other cancers. Most skin cancers occur over the age of 85, but which time, something's going to get you in the end.

tallsmallmum · 29/05/2023 21:12

size of my boobs you definitely couldn't see them from a microlite or drone 🔎🔎🔎

More as in hanging out the washing and doing a bit of gardening I think.

Not being more than naked, which is a scary thought.

anythinginapinch · 29/05/2023 22:19

Yep I do. If the neighbour with a line of sight from their bathroom window into my garden wants to look, I don't care tbh. Other lovely neighbours wandering in to my (large and "layered") garden get a warning hollar to hang on a mo while I put my shorts and T on. Job done

Holidayperfect · 07/06/2023 21:43

I do it all the time in my garden. Our neighbour could see in but I honestly don’t care.

I’d say it’s your garden so do as you please. Overlooked or not, if they don’t like it don’t look haha. It’s only a pair of boobs plus who wants tan lines.

happy sunbathing. 👍🏻 it’s meant to be really hot this weekend so I will be out on my lounger in no more than my knickers.

alanrp42 · 28/01/2024 13:59

There's no reason why you shouldn't sunbathe topless. It's easy to understand why women's breasts generate more interest than the equivalent area on a man but the taboo surrounding female nipples is very hard to understand. I sunbathe naked in our garden. I try to sit where I can't be seen but wouldn't be too worried if someone did. If a plane goes overhead and the pilot sees me then why should I be concerned.
