Anyone manage to speak to a human at Evri?

I have no tracking number for my missing parcel (Evri collected the parcel but didn't send the email with tracking number in it). I have tried Evri's chat bot and phoning the helpline, but you cannot get through to a human on either without a valid tracking number. I tried inventing one. I tried every variation of 'I need to speak to a human'. I tried holding. I tried pressing star and 0.

Anyone any ideas?

I've acquired a tracking number now, but still can't get through! Grrrr.

It's impossible. They just send you into a Bot FAQ cycle until you give up.

If your parcel is missing or damaged, Evri are not the people to speak to. Your contract is with the people you bought your goods from. Get in touch with your retailer and they will resolve it for you. I had a parcel go missing that John Lewis dispatched through Evri and they sent me a £5 voucher as a goodwill gesture in addition to getting my goods re-dispatched.

and bizzarely yes I have spoken to someone. I have a driver a low rating. He didn’t deliver. And some guy phoned me to ask about it. He was the most disinterested box ticking person I’ve ever spoken to.

I had a vintage glass ornament chucked over my 6 ft gate onto concrete slabs by evri. The result was not pretty. Yes I did receive a refund from the seller but I would have preferred the evri driver to have left it in the obtainable safe place we have informed them of. So gutting.

I am the sender! It is a return to a retailer, but I had to organise the delivery through Evri, so I am the person who arranged and sent it. The retailer might decide to help me anyway (hopefully) but I haven't heard back from them yet. Fingers crossed!

It’s very hard. I NEVER send anything now as a Seller through Evri because of a very stressful experience. I spent 2 days chasing a non-delivered parcel. Someone from Evri sorting office clearly stole it (earrings). None of the so called tracking numbers worked in their stupid bot system.

The only way I could finally contact them was through their CEO Twitter address I think. Even then I only got £20 back, a derisory amount as compensation.

I NEVER use them now except for cheap or crappy things under £10 or else a company return (where the Company are liable).

@LlynTegid I had to. It was the only means the retailer accepted for returns 🤷

@Anjanax I guess I could try social media, thanks. If the retailer is unable to help me I will do that.

Lol I used to work for them, responding to emails when they were Hermes. You can get through but staff are told to send back a template and just edit it to sound a bit more personal

Best advice is to contact the retailer, whoever you’ve got the item from. They will refund

Did anyone manage to get through to them? I am trying to contact them today as awaiting them to collect a return parcel from my home but they haven't sent me an email yet with eta (as promised in the last email). So I can't speak to anyone as don't yet have tracking as they haven't collected.

Wanting to ask when they will be sending me an email with collection time on it!
