When do you usually receive an invite?

I know I can ask the bride/groom but I don’t want to seem awkward/premature etc

When do you generally receive the formal wedding invite after the Save the Date?

I know it likely varies but I just wondered before I just ask them/other friends :)

Just to add I’m wondering because it’s not local and we’d need to book a one or even two night stay in a nearby hotel x

Any time from 6months - 6 weeks before hand if there's been a save the date sent prior in my experience!

If you've had the save the date, is that not enough information for you to book a hotel from or do you need more?

Wow 6 weeks? Surely that wouldn’t give enough time for people to send back their meal choices and the bride/groom to send them off to their caterers etc?
