Luggage storage - Kings Cross

Has anyone used the luggage storage facilities available at Kings Cross or places near please?
Going to be in London tomorrow and have a thing on Friday. Can't take our bags with us to the event and don't have a hotel we can leave them at. I was Googling luggage storage as I wondered if it's a thing!

Yes - left luggage is operated by Excess Baggage near the entrance to platform 9. You cannot pre book online and I don't know the costs. It'll be quite pricey. There are other operators in the area but I don't know how good they are.

If the thing on Friday is in an event space or hotel you can probably put your stuff in the cloakroom or behind reception.

Yes. King’s Cross under the stairs to the parcel yard pub. Have used it several times. You can just rock up and drop off

Thank you so much for the replies. No we're going to Buckingham Palace on Friday 🤣 so we can't take anything like baggage with us and we can't leave it at the flat we're staying at tomorrow night as I hadn't realised that 2.5 hours isn't long enough to get from the palace to the flat and back again in time for our train. So I thought perhaps there would be some luggage storage we could pay for.

I left my bag at the Kings Cross left luggage and they gave me a totally different bag back. Absolutely refused to accept it was wrong, even though I could see MY bag on the shelf right there.

Label your own bag clearly when you drop it off. Sadly It didn't occur to me....

I was one if five or six that they'd messed up the tags on and I almost missed my train back to Scotland because of their mistake and refusal to believe me.

I should have kept the bag they tried to give me, it was far nicer than mine.

Get a combination lock too. It was the only way we could prove our bags were ours - my sister could unlock hers so they finally accepted their mistake.

We used left luggage at St Pancras recently. It was fine. It's up the end near platform 11 & 12, past M&S, and Boots, just before the loos.

We used left luggage at Victoria bus station so that's another option.
