Tunnocks Caramel Wafers

Is it just me or have they changed something?
Picked up a pack (from Aldi) last week and it they all had a bitter/ chemically after taste. Wrote it off as a dodgy pack.

However, bought another pack this week and just tucked into one and it’s the same horrible flavour. So disappointed.
Has anyone else noticed this or just me?

Are you sure you got their ones, or own brand which look the same! Lidl do their own one, not sure about Aldi. I hate them all anyway (and I love chocolate, I just don't like wafers).

This is odd. As I actually had a dodgy packet of the Aldi own brand ones, not the Tunnock ones, a couple of weeks ago.
They had the wrong consistency. Not the chewy wafer they should be. They were very hard and crisp all the way through.

Maybe Aldi have got some destined for the US? US chocolate has an ingredient also found in vomit (lovely)

The own brand ones are disappointing- but real one's delicious!

I find that the Lidl ones are even better than the original. They're softer and more caramelly. The original are too firm.

100% they have changed. They are awful. I thought it was a dodgy packet but my mum always buys them and everytime they have this after taste. Bitter and chemical. Gutted

I noticed they've changed too. They used to be really nice and chewy. Last one I had was all dry and like cardboard.

I think they’ve been rotten tasting for about a decade now. Caramel logs however are still lovely.
