Is this a phase my 9 yr old will grow out of?

My daughter 9 has increasingly resorted to lying - every question asked will be met with a lie or a stretch of the truth. Also she is extremely lazy- as in does her lessons ok but if you ask her to pick the books scattered about or tidy the mess she has made while eating takes forever. All the above I can cope but her hygiene is bothering me- she throws her dirty underwear in with the clean ones- hides chocolate wrappers etc in her bed ( ones given to her to eat as a treat), wears dirty socks if not spotted etc. nothing has changed in the house or school - everything is as same as before. Is this a phase they go through and grow out of?

Yep, I also have a 9 yr old DD. Exaggerated stories, poor personal hygiene unless closely monitored, room a tip, just gets up and walks away from any dishes/mess etc it's exhausting!

I feel like I'm constantly on at her as we're actually a very clean and tidy family/ household! This too shall pass, I hope!
