Hi, we're staying in Salou for our hols and my DS wanted to visit the Nou camp whilst we're there. Just wondering has anyone travelled by train or bus and can tell me if it's easy or not. I can't search train times yet so can't get a feel of whether or not we'll be able to even do it. Thanks.

We did this a few years ago. DH and Ds went alone and I stayed back with small ones so I don't know specifics. We were in la Pineda and the bus stopped in the town but I understand it was coming from Salou. They booked it only a few days earlier when we arrived. Sorry not v informative answer but it is possible. I'd say chance Salou tourist information

Join a Salou group on FB, there's absolutely loads of info/helpful people to answer a question on there

I'd not thought of joining a group. I belong to Disney and New York ones Grin

Been a few years since we've been but there was lots of stalls/shops selling excursions to Nou Camp with food included etc and easy pick up from your hotel or a stop nearby. The food was disgusting but I preferred knowing where we were getting picked up etc and that there was a tour guide so I'd probably do it again that way. There are trains and buses though which do go to Barca.

It's likely that there will be local operators that will do day trips to Barcelona.

They'll advertise by putting flyers in bars, hotels, campsite receptions, tourist information offices etc and they'll take you there and just let you wander around for a few hours so that could be an option.

Once you're in the city, there's trams or similar to get around if it's too far to walk.
