NHS interview

Hi everyone

I have an interview coming up this week with NHS, does anyone know what sort of things will come up? I have had other interviews not with the NHS last month so not sure how much different this would be x

They'll likely ask you about Information Governance and the Trust values

They may ask you about confidentiality and equality/diversity.

the correct answer re confidentiality is that generally you would not breach it (e.g. telling your family private information!) but sometimes there is a duty to share limited information e.g. child safeguarding.

Definitely the Trust values.

Typically they are competency based so "Tell me about a time when you..." and then something relevant to the role/job description/person spec - e.g. tell me about a time you have had to manage competing priorities/deadlines" etc

And agree about the trust values, again likely to be along the lines of "tell me how you have demonstrated respect/ compassion/ integrity/partnership" etc

Make sure you can trot out the NHS 'core values' and/or that Trust's ones; along with examples of when you felt you did or might 'meet them'.

They'll be plastered all over their website.

Ours are CARE. No idea what they stand for, but I'd hazard 'compassion' for C, for example. Or 'Christ on a bike, what IS this three-ring circus I'm signing up for? 🤔'-

But don't let me put you off! 😂
