National insurance no help urgent

Can anyone help?
My son needs his national insurance number to apply for student finance. Closing date is Friday. He's lost it and doesn't have it anywhere.

Does anyone have any inspiration of how to find it??

No help with the NI but student finance deadline is for September 2022 starters. If he's this year's cohort then you have more time.

But don’t panic, applying by this Friday simply guarantees the application will be processed on time to receive the first payment on enrolment day. Applying later means there is a possibility the money might be delayed (though it usually isn’t unless you apply REALLY last minute)

My dd applied ridiculously late last year because she's a doofus. She still got it on time.

Not as much as a doofus as ds’s friend who didn’t apply until the week they arrived. Luckily the uni was understanding.

Trying to use recovery via hmrc but no provisional licence to verify Id- now applied for.
Doesn't appear to be connected to child trust fund.

Gonna phone hmrc in the morning. Wish me luck with that.

In a very safe place - with his gcse certificates.
Really need to update our filing system. Its beyond appalling.
