How to stop Android phone touching up selfies?

Just that really. I know I shouldn't be taking selfies but I'd like them to look untouched, not over produced. Does anyone know if there's a way to stop the phone doing this automatically?

There is a little icon in the top right of the screen that looks like a match or a little magic wand when you turn the selfie camera on. If you tap on that you can choose what the camera does to your face when you take a selfie!
