I hate British Gas

They owe mum nearly £2500.
She is in a nursing home with dementia.
The family home was sold in February 2023.
The number of people I've spoken to all tell me they will pay back this money.
Complaints dept are supposedly dealing with my complaint, they don't return my
call anymore or reply to my emails or phone me back.
I've sent 15 emails even one to the CEO which I didn't get a response from.

I wonder if you'd be better off going to the energy regulator. Dh is also owed money from them and it's really difficult to get anywhere. They're utter crooks.

Have you got the ombudsman involved? I have had shitty experiences with various energy companies and they only really take notice or pull their finger out when the ombudsman gets involved

Yep.I had an issue with United Utlitied it sent in for about two years with nobody resolving

Oops posted to quickly ,it only got resolved when I got the consumer councill for water involved.

Write to one of the money advisors in the Times, mail or guardian. It's amazing how quickly these company's move when there is the threat of bad press.
