What kind of bee is this ?

This is the fourth one winged bee I’ve found in the garden in two days, I thought it was the cat but he’s inside.
They keep flipping onto their back, I turn them over, they try and fly off and flip over again, I feel bad for them as they eventually due because I can’t keep flipping them over all day ! What’s going on ?

What kind of bee is this ?

I was just reading about deformed wing virus in bees yesterday so maybe that’s it?

Really ? That’s so sad ! Does it only affect certain species of bee?

It looks like a carpenter bee; honey bees are longer and slimmer.

What kind of bee is this ?

I don't think it's that wing virus as it's like these bees wings have just fallen off rather than being born that way... literally one appeared to just drop out of the sky earlier into my garden!
