Just looked online and couldn’t get a clear answer - does writing a new address and ‘please forward’ on a letter still work? Previous owners of my new house have set up a redirect but a couple of letters got through on day 1

Just chuck it back in the postbox. The address should be picked up the second time and forwarded appropriately

Yes, it will work. Dh's mum still forwards random post to us from his childhood home (he hasn't lived there in nearly 20 years, but some random stuff still ends up there occasionally).
