Please share your genius survival strategies for summer holidays

I’m not in UK so our holiday times are longer and sooner. Anyone got any brilliant summer holiday strategies or hacks to share?

My household management grinds to chaos and the kids turn feral. Would appreciate any tips.

I mean it’s budget dependent but mine do a few residential camps like Outward Bound/ PGL and absolutely love them. I have an American friend who sends her kid to US camp for 6 weeks! I wish I was American 🤣. I also tend to do a few short trips for long weekends to see family friends so minimise days off work but feel like you’ve been somewhere.
