Has anyone claimed Universal credit and they didn’t call you ?

Since the day I put the claim in my journal has said they will call in 2-3 days , but they haven’t ? This was 3 weeks ago now - do they always call ? I’m worried there’s a problem .

I keep seeing as well that elements get missed off the claim and it’s really hard to get it updated and correct.

Has anyone not had a call or any contact just done an application and been paid correctly 5 weeks later ?

Yeah, 4 months in I still haven't been called. Been paid regularly though. Call them if you're unsure?

Did you do your ID verification online at the time of making the application? If so they may not need to contact you. If an element is missing then you can ring. If you need to claim help with rent then they will have asked for you to upload a tenancy agreement if private rent. Sometimes they won't with council or HA as they can contact the local authority or HA themselves. You can sometimes tell whether elements have been verified by the amount of advance payment they have offered you. You could always give them a call to check whether you have been forgotten, they usually answer reasonably quickly unlike some other benefits like ESA and PIP !

Yes the advance wasn’t very much (I don’t think) as it said ‘up to 100%’ but we didn’t get much to last the 5 weeks. But it’s hard to work it out exactly I’m just going off the turn2us and entitled to calculators (but they were both different with the same info🤦‍♀️)

we verified identity online but I was just worried as it immediately came up that we would get a call in 2-3 days I’ve been carrying my phone round everywhere so I don’t miss the call but so far no call yet !
