Should we be doing more in the west to try to change the attitudes towards countries appeasing or actively supporting Russia? Countries such as India, South Africa and Turkey for example.

How do you know that we are not already engaging in quiet diplomacy?

Bookridden · 14/05/2023 13:17

Why can we not also engage in loud diplomacy?

We can do that also. But quiet diplomacy will always work better. Many countries West, East, North and South have engaged in very loud diplomacy over the last 1,500 years or so and that is now not being seen as a good thing.

Do we still send aid money to India?

BlueLined · 14/05/2023 14:04

Support them by listening to their key areas of need and acting on those within reason. Providing tangible aid rather than monetary funding. Prioritise ties with these countries because they are rich in a number of resources: human/labour, major crops, oil/coal and precious metals, land mass, car production... to name just a few. When it all inevitably goes pete tong for us in the west, these countries could be a lifeline.

The west won't do the above due to their untethered arrogance and an underlying urge to subjugate countries such as India, South Africa and Turkey.

Should we bother

Stop all aid to them and let them rely on russia
