Spelled a name wrong bank transfer!

I noticed afterwards that I had missed a letter out of the name, but my bank (HSBC) checked the details against the recipient's bank, and it went through ok.
It's been taken from my bank account. What will happen now? Will the transfer go through or be rejected??

So long as the account number and sort code are right, it will be fine. The name check is just to help people identify when they're being scammed more than anything else, it's not part of the payment instructions.

It will go through. A close match is good enough.

I've had my daughters name wrong on my online banking for several years and payments go back and forwards fine. Never had a problem.

As long as the acct no and sort code are correct

If it's a close match and you're confident the recipient is correct nothing happens, the bill is paid

Oh hooray! Thank god. It was a business transfer, and quite a lot of money.
