Train as a notary? Calling all notaries

Just wondered whether anyone has done this?
Its probable that I’m going to leave current job and will have some gardening leave and although I’ve actually got a garden that would benefit from me doing some work in and have plenty to occupy myself I wondered whether it would be a good investment for the future as something I could do in semi retirement from home?
Has anyone done it and if yes would you recommend?

Hello @reindeesandchristmastrees
Just wondering whether you got any further with your exploration of training to become a notary. Thinking of doing the same thing myself as looking for something v flexible. Only early stages of thinking about it, so can't add much I'm afraid! I was also considering mediation...

Ah that’s interesting. I looked into it today and as I qualified over five years ago (well over!), the and am not practising at the moment, it looks as if I’d need to sit loads of extra exams. I may look further into it but suspect not a great idea. Thanks for responding and good luck with whatever comes next.
