I broke my favourite mug
I like a large mug (I measured it! And it holds 400ml) does anyone know where I can buy some mugs online that specifies the capacity of the mug?!

I just went to gave a look at the Nkuku site for some bowls and these we're the first thing I saw, 380ml !

Just measured my fave and it comes in just below 400ml. It's one of the curved sided ones from https://www.herdy.co.uk/ (helps if you like sheep!). From experience though the straight sided ones are smaller so avoid!

Firstly, I'm really sorry for your loss. I myself have a 400ml mug and seing its demise would devistate me too. I'm in a different country, however mine was purchased from Starbucks, so I suggest your start your quest there - a quick search of Google suggests that many Starbucks mugs are 400 ml, and an array of designs are available.

I know one mug can never truly replace another, but in time you can learn to love and appreciate your new mug for what it is.

Asda do some large mugs. Some have the capacity in the description on the website.

I have a Milly Green mug which holds 450ml when absolutely full to the top, it's one of the ones with curved sides but I got it a while ago and can't find it online now

I have to have large mugs too and bone china. I can’t be doing with a “thick” mug.

I feel for you! My 400ml mug was given to me by a school friend when we were 14 on her return from a German exchange trip. It has two handles and a now very dishwasher-faded picture of a caffeine-crazed Garfield with the words (in German) 'That last gulp was too much'. I am now 56 and my mug has been one of the constants in my life. It is very heavy and I drink strong tea in it. I am still in loose contact with my friend and I would be bereft if my over-40-year-old mug broke. I have far prettier mugs but they don't bring me the same comfort and everyone in my family knows how devoted I am to 'Garfy'. I hope you find the perfect mug for you - these things matter!

Dunoon mugs hold just under 500ml. Expensive but the only mugs we have ! A proper drink in a China cup.

Have you looked on Ebay to see if you can get a replacement? My husband dropped his favourite mug and we managed to get an exact replacement.

Denby azure coast mugs hold 400ml and curve in at the top to retain the heat.
