Can I have an iron infusion then go on a city break?

I’m really struggling with anaemia, exhaustion, lack of focus and concentration etc. I’ve tried so many iron tablets but none have agreed with me so after a year of feeling awful daily, I have been offered an iron infusion. I have been given an appointment on the same day that I travel for a city break which will involve lots of walking.

im just wondering if that’s a terrible idea or if I should go ahead with the appointment? I’m not UK based and so it’s not as simple here as just checking with my GP / the hospital. Thanks.

It’s literally cannula in, infusion. Probs wait half an hour in case of
Some people get a headache or slightly nauseous during the infusion. Nothing to put off your plans for

Thanks both. I’m so excited to hopefully begin feeling normal again. I’ve forgotten what normal feels like!
