Legs covered in insect bites

I think I was bitten on Tuesday evening, but they didn't really appear as swollen lumps until part way through Thurs.

Today they're angry yellow lumps that itch like mad. I'm doing my best not to scratch and applying Sudocrem (no idea if that's good but it's my magic cure for most things).

In view of the lovely forecast, what's the chance of me being able to wear shorts for a casual day time do on Sunday?

Tiger balm applied liberally and an antihistamine tablet works for me.

best way to kill the itch is to hold a spoon under a hot tap and then press the back of the spoon against each bite for a few seconds. the heat from the spoon 'cooks' the protein that causes the itch.

Does that work for horsefly bites?

The little sods make a beeline for me every time.

Lemon eucalyptus oils is as effective as DEET.
I get badly bitten if I don't dab a bit on

I second the hot spoon trick, but I'd say go heat the spoon mega hot and just hold it right over but not touching, should feel the sting burn away
