What is this in DS's throat?

DS(4) has had a cough/cold for a few weeks now. Its always worse at night and first thing, it's a very wet cough in the mornings. I tried to look in his throat yesterday and saw some red spots on his palette. He doesn't have a fever but is pale, snotty, coughing and more tired than usual. He is eating and drinking fine.

Cause for concern, or nothing to worry about? Google suggests glandular fever, but he doesn't have any other symptoms.

No idea on the spots, but could be burst capillaries from all the coughing. The symptoms you describe sound like it could be hayfever. It's the right time of year for it to have started 4 weeks ago and not have a temperature. Mine and my son's is always worst first thing. Can you get some kids antihistamine liquid tomorrow and see if that helps?
