My 8 year old ds has just pooped this out, any ideas why it's like that?
Don't think it's worms as they're wormed regularly and had a dose last week (May 2nd) , what else could it be? Sorry for being gross (I did post in children's health but no response)

Is it mucus? Has he been ill or constipated recently? i haven’t heard of anybody regularly worming their children btw.

Has he eaten sweet potato or anything with that kind of texture?

Meant to type they were wormed recently, not regularly.
He has been complaining his belly hurt a little the last few days so could be a stomach bug

🤦🏼‍♀️ I normally don’t comment on anything ever but the complete confusion from the details of this post almost makes me wonder if I’m the crazy one? Lol…
so, recently dewormed meaning recently cleansed to rid the body of worms… meaning because of that, any said worms would then be coming out dead in stool around the exact time this bm took place….? you answered yourself 100% within your own post lol… hope he’s feeling better regardless and that did the trick and took care of them 100%

We're you able to find the reason for this? Was it worms?

My3 · 13/12/2023 05:49

Hello, it does look like worms, maybe a tapeworm. Especially being you just did a dewormer last week. Parasites usually will pass 4-7 days after a dewormer, although I have seen at 3 days and then other times I haven’t seen anything. I’ve been told, read a tapeworm needs 2 doses 21 days apart. Is that what you do, and what do you use?
