Frankfurt! Anyone been? Just booked a Christmas Market.

Anyone been to Frankfurt? Just booked Christmas Market for me, DH & our dc age 11 & 9. Advice appreciated.

Always a bit curious about those booking with children to go to the Christmas markets… do your children like wondering around looking at Christmas crafts and foods? Genuine question? Mine (10 and 13) would enjoy for a couple of hours but then…. Bored. And me too actually!

@Dustyourselfoff yes, we've brought them to a couple previously. They love the atmosphere, street food, hot chocolate, hot spiced apple (non alco!) etc.. We'd usually do a couple of hours first thing in the morning, go off sightseeing around whatever city & come back for the food, lights & atmosphere in the evening. They enjoy picking up little presents for family & friends at the markets too.

I live near Frankfurt and have been to the Christmas market umpteen times over the past 30 years.
I have often met colleagues after work under the big Christmas tree in front of the Römer, enjoyed a selection of Christmas music played by a brass band on from the roof of St. Niklaus' Church and then wandered over the Eisener Steg to have a team Christmas meal at either Maachanz or Coq au Vin.
