Saxenda for weight loss?

I am considering trying out saxenda - the weight loss injection which suppresses hunger. I need to lose a lot of weight fast for the summer (big birthday and holidays). I know this isn’t the most sustainable way of doing it but I need a fast solution and even if I put it all back on and start again, at least I’ll lose it for a bit.

Has anyone used it? How were the results?

I would look at the once per week alternative. I got mine from Manual at £200 per month, but if you go through the automated process to cancel saying it’s too expensive it goes down to around £170 per month.

Are you not too scared to just go injecting yourself with this stuff?!
I’ve seen other threads with hundreds of people doing this but I’ve not really looked into this. I have a young relative with diabetes and I think this is usually a drug used to treat diabetes, I’d be terrified of doing something like this.
Can’t believe people are doing this!!!
Sorry OP, it’s not an attack on you, I’ve seen loads of these sorts of threads so you’re not alone if you do it. I’d be worried about side effects and the fact that once you stop injecting yourself the weight just comes back if you haven’t fixed your relationship with food as I think that’s where a lot of issues really come from.
best of luck if you go for it and sorry if I’ve pissed you off with my judginess.

Saxenda and the weekly jab Ozempic are not quite the same. They are a slightly different medication. There are a few Saxenda threads in Weight Loss Chat I think.

there are currently serious shortages of Ozempic so Saxenda will likely be easier to get. Lloyds pharmacies do it I think under their weight loss clinics.

My mum is on this and she often feels nauseous and dizzy.
