Help- online journal/notes recommendations

Hello MN

I need a place (website or app) to write up snapshots of my days, as I have unfortunately got a neurological condition which is effecting my memory, and I don't want to forget things.

I've tried Wordpress, but there's no search function so I can't skip back when needed. I don't want to use Notes as it's on all my devices which the kids use and can't be password protected. I bought Goodnotes, but can't see how to use it in a way that is just blocks of texts (seems more for note taking).

I am currently using Evernote which is great actually but it's £9 a month which is a lot. I'll carry on using it if need be, but I just wondered if anyone knew anywhere else that could suit me.

Thanks so much!

I use Notion, it’s free which is obvs a very attractive point, you can use on phone or desktop and there’s an app. Downside is there’s no offline mode so you need an internet connection

Here’s two different pages I’ve set up, I like using all the functionality, so have reminders, to do lists and things set up but you can just start in a page and write, all the blocks are moveable so you can chop and change as much as you like!

Would an app like Daylio help? You can add tags to each day to say what you did, add photos and even a voice memo. You can also write a note about the day, and select a mood (good, bad, meh, etc). I think you can have multiple entries for a date, too. You can add your own tags and moods, filter by them, and search.

There's a paid version but I use the free one and it's great.

Hi, appreciate this is a slightly old thread now but I just came across it when doing some research and wanted to say I have found the same issue and I am working on something surrounding this (particularly parents wanting to journal memories). It’s a work in progress at the moment, hoping to launch next year, but if this is something you’d be interested in learning more about when I do launch then let me know! X
