Longest PE skorts

YippieKayakOtherBuckets · 10/05/2023 09:44

DD is Y5 and already over 150cm tall. She wears a black jersey skort for PE but many of them come up very short. She's currently in an age 12-13 Asda one which is particularly short and she has asked me to find her something longer. Anything bigger in the waist will fall down. Has anyone found that a particular brand of PE skorts come out longer than others, please? Happy with high street, supermarket, whatever.

Find someone who can tailer the waist on the bigger size unless she fills out you will be a repeat customer

No - uniform is a choice of joggers, leggings, or skort.

Buy a pair of leggings and stitch them to a skirt

I mean the fact that a pair of cycling shorts is basically a hybrid of the leggings and skort option yet they won't allow it is bonkers.

I could probably push it but she wouldn't want to wear cycling shorts, so I refer you to the question in my OP if you have experience of dressing tall children?

I have a tall dd and she just wears the Asda shorts tbh. Yes they are short, but they are full coverage around the bum etc. My dd switches between them and cycling shorts.

Is your dd saying she doesn't want tonwear her existing skorts?

YippieKayakOtherBuckets · 10/05/2023 10:00

Yes. She has asked me to find her a longer skort.

What about cycling shorts under a PE skirt? That's basically a skort! Why does it matter if they're stitched together or not?

It doesn't, really, but two waistbands will be less comfortable than one so she'd prefer an all-in-one skort if we can find one.

These look longer than others, maybe a size 6 or 8 might work? locketloves.com/collections/all/products/black-active-skort

The Decathlon ones are described as skirts - but they are skorts.
