We have a hedgehog!!

Years ago we often saw one in the garden but haven't for ages.. probably 15 years or more. I blamed fences with gravel boards. But tonight, there on the lawn was a big fat hedgehog!

I am weirdly pleased.

Aww I had a hedgehog at my last property, he got in the shed and stayed there for ages one winter … he was very cute but smelt so bad … I went out one morning with food and knew he’d gone as the smell had. Would love to have another little smelly visitor though.

Every night we have to do hedgehog patrol, before we let the dogs out. They just bark at the poor thing if it's in the garden.

How lovely - I bought my mother a hedgehog house for Christmas and Mr hedgehog comes in every evening - I once sat outside in their garden and he crawled over my foot very slowly. They have small holes between their neighbouring gardens - she does bee houses , more bird feeders . nesting boxes than you can shake a stick at. Hedgehog house has a curved entrance so as to deter cats.

We have a hedgehog too! We have a hedgehog house hidden in the undergrowth under our shrubs. Hadn't seen him for a few months but he was back last week. Terrible picture, but he is shy!

I love ours, except maybe their date nights right outside my bedroom window, so noisy 😁😁

Food out every night like clock work in their feeding station and I love seeing the clean dish each morning.

We've got signs around the roads now saying slow down hedgehogs about. Such a nice touch.
