I'm going into hospital tomorrow to have the insane amount of fluid in my abdomen drained, and a CT scan, as no-one so far has been able to work out what caused it in the first place. They're ruling out a sick bug caught at work, which is what I originally thought it was, as it's dragged on so long.

Anyone had a CT scan & could talk me through it? I'm quite scared now someone's actually dealing with it properly!

Thanks MN

Oh @lucysmam I am so sorry to read this news. What a shock for you all.

Thinking of you and your girls. You will definitely kick ass!

I hope the treatment isn’t too bad. You can get Queasy Drops which can help with any nausea.

Hugs to you.

Oh Lucy's mam I'm so very sorry. My auntie had breast cancer a few years ago and is completely in remission my Mum had it in 1999 and sadly died BUT my auntie survived 16 yrs later! The advances the scientists have made in that time are amazing. I'm praying for you and thinking about you. Your daughters will spoil u. Hope the treatment starts soon. 🙏 you will be in complete 😲 shock. Take care xx

Oh what a shocking update @lucysmam
Brilliant to hear your last bloods were better and you are making good progress!
It sounds like the last few months have been an absolute nightmare for you.
Sending you lots of strength and very best wishes .

Bloody hell, so sorry to hear this, but glad to hear you are getting the treatment you need. Sending you lots and lots of positive energy.
I love your cosy Saturday morning threads and was worried when you mentioned that you hadn’t been well and couldn’t seem to shake it.
We are rooting for you xx
PS. A friend of mine had breast cancer and got very used to whipping her bra, so much so that at one of her appointments she merrily stripped off to be told that it was just bloods that was needed! She is doing well and fitting fit!! She kicks arse just like you do ❤️

lucysmam · 27/05/2023 09:24

Haha @FayKnights I can see that happening to me 🤣
