today I’ve bumped into 4 different people from my past. 4! we went out for lunch (10 miles away from home) and out for a walk in the evening, about 15 miles south of the lunch place or 5 miles south from home
one person was an old tutor of mine sat on the table next to us at lunch, she didn’t recognise me I don’t think but it was over 10 years ago.
then went into a shop and someone I went to school with was serving me on the till
this evening, walked past an old colleague who I worked with for a few months just before COVID, we smiled at each other and said nothing more. five minutes after I saw a child who used to be in my class whilst I was still a student (again back in 2017). she was with her family and none of them would’ve remembered me as I was only on placement, but I never forgot her!
how odd for this to happen four times, we don’t live in a small town at all and as I say none of it was close to home or close to where I originally worked with/spent time with all these people!
