Holidays with Adult children

I do a big holiday every other year, ex is meant to do the same - doesn't but anyway.
Last one was to Disney Florida, was alright but 1 is terrified of flying, the other didn't really get much out of the rides, me and the middle one had a great time.
I need inspiration.
Budget is about £12,000 for 4 adults and a 13 year old.
We like sunshine, sight seeing, short flights.

12k is a decent budget, I’m very lucky to have been on lots of lovely family holidays even when I was an adult.

Croatia (activity holiday with white water rafting etc)
Egypt (not sure how safe now but plenty of historical places and good snorkelling)
Mexico (xelha parks are amazing!)
Cape Verde (if you time it right you can do excursions to see the turtles laying their eggs)
Kenya (safari - best experience ever!)
Vietnam (so much history to see and amazing food)

They seem to be long haul which i don't mind, i've flown to Australia and back more times than is normal for a person.
But the youngest hardly coped with 9 hours

Cape Verde is an approximate 5 hour flight (from Birmingham). Is that too many hours?

Croatia isn't long haul. We did island hopping which was great, and a real mix of experiences.

Morocco? Marrakech, Atlas mountains, desert?

Tothepoint99 · 08/05/2023 20:47

Another vote for Marrakesh with a bit of Atlas Mountains and day trips out thrown in.

That sounds very nice, I'll google when the turtles are about, thank you

Some great ideas thank you, keen to avoid a two week piss up, so they sound like nice wholesome places
