Why is watching people clean their house on instagram so therapeutic

Seriously, I have a million things to do yet my fat arse is sat watching people on instagram clean their (immaculate) homes!?! Why am I like this lol

well we're all different. I don't follow any house cleaners on IG.

But videos like this often pop up on Facebook - from Reels or TikTok I guess - and I usually scroll past but if I do watch I can feel my blood pressure rising. I just can't understand for one second how cleaning and housework is a past-time or hobby. It is still drudgery for women (mainly women).

I'm ok with watching cooking sometimes. But cleaning ... just everyone who participates in this fetishing of housework ... please try and find something more fulfilling to do with your short life.
